Reacting to the latest ceasefire violation by Pakistan, Communist Party leader Atul Anjan said on Saturday that repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army and Rangers seem to suggest that the latter maybe itching to fight a war, and added that maybe it is time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call an all parties meeting and determine a plan of action to neutralise the cross-border aggression.
"Repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army in Jammu and Kashmir region suggest that it is eager to fight a war," he said.
Anjan also said that Nawaz Sharif wants to indulge in war to escape from their internal situation.
He also said, "Two of our citizens have died and several are injured, people are fleeing from their homes in border villages, the time has come for the Prime Minister to call an all parties meeting and put forth the plan of action."
Meanwhile, Congress Party leader Manish Tewari said the government is sending wrong signals to Pakistan, and such signals will only encourage Pakistan to actualize their strategy of bleeding India with a thousand cuts.
Speaking to ANI, Tewari said, "This government has been sending confused signals to Pakistan right from day one. For 10 years you say terror and talks cannot go hand in hand and before your government is even formed you send an invitation to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, then even before he can come your consulate in Herat is attacked by the ISI and its instruments."
He said, "Then you have a situation where there are repeated cross border intrusions by the Pakistani army. So obviously you have sent out a signal to the permanent establishment in Pakistan that you are up to be played around."
He also said, "If they are behaving in this manner whereby they are carrying on their proxy war or actualizing their strategy of bleeding India with thousand cuts then it only goes to show that the Indian government should have been much more farsighted and should have thought through its Pakistan policy."
Earlier today, a major ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in the R.S Pura sector of Jammu led to the death of two civilians and injured a Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.
