The Congress party on Friday refuted reports of senior Congress leader Ambika Soni had resigned.

Surjewala further said that Soni had only requested the leadership to lighten duties citing her health issues.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Soni had resigned from all party posts.

?I've requested the leadership to relieve me as in-charge of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh due to health reasons,? Soni told ANI.
