The Chhattisgarh unit of Congress today staged 'chakka jam' (blockade) on national highways in all district headquarters to protest against state government's "bribery culture and corruption".
The protesters also burnt effigies of BJP chief Amit Shah in protest of his "insulting" remarks about Mahatma Gandhi.

Accusing the BJP government in Chhattisgarh of steeped in corruption, Baghel demanded Shah to remove chief minister Raman Singh from his post.
Baghel said his party has raised several questions before Shah, including why corruption and 'commission-khori' (bribe culture) charges against Raman Singh government was not being probed.
He also asked, when the ruling BJP will fulfil its poll promise of providing Rs 2,100 minimum support price and Rs 300 bonus to farmers against procuring their paddy.
Baghel also condemned Shah terming that his comment on 'father of nation Mahatma Gandhi is an insult to the legendary leader and freedom fighters.
Meanwhile, Congress workers also burnt effigies of Shah during the protest.
Protesters also raised slogans against ruling BJP for their alleged outsourcing policy, bribery culture, corruption, anti-farmer policy etc.
According to police, as many as 371 Congress leaders and workers, including Baghel, Rajya Sabha MP Chhaya Verma, senior MLAs Satyanarayan Sharma and Dhanendra Sahu, were arrested from separate places while staging blockade in Raipur.
They were released later unconditionally, police added.
