Launching a scathing attack on Congress and AAP, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi today appealed to Punjab voters to re-elect the Akali Dal BJP alliance with an overwhelming majority for the development and progress of the state.

Cautioning people against voting for Congress or AAP, she said that they were the two sides of the same coin.

Talking to reporters here, she refuted the claim of AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that Delhi has become corruption-free, and alleged that Delhi has become "more corrupt politically and otherwise".

She said 21 MLAs of Kejriwal's party have been booked in criminal cases including charges of rape and corruption.

"None of these cases is false. All cases have solid proofs," she said.

When asked about the the comments made by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi about Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal terming him a "symbol of corruption", the BJP leader hit back saying that those who themselves are neck deep in corruption charges in cases like chopper scam, National Herald case, 2G, 3G scams and coal scam should think twice before blaming others on the same issue.

She lauded the 10 years of Akali Dal-BJP rule and listed a battery of development projects completed during the period.
