BJP ally MDMK will stage a protest in Chennai on Tuesday pressing for various demands including asking the Centre to allow a UN team to visit the country for its probe into alleged war crimes against Sri Lanka.
Party founder Vaiko will lead the protest here seeking permission for the UN panel hold its probe in the country, a party release said.
MDMK will press for demands including not allowing Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa to address a meeting of the UN General Assembly later this month, besides holding a referendum for separate Tamil Eelam (homeland) among Tamils in Lanka and those displaced, it said.
