CCTV footage: Tutor arrested for kidnapping, murdering 2nd class student in Bhopal

A private tutor of a Class 2 boy was detained on Monday after the latter`s body was found in a sack near the toll plaza on Indore bypass. The tutor lives in the same locality in which parents of the child live in Bhopal.

The boy, Bharat Mahawar, reportedly went missing from Christ Memorial School in Bairagarh since Monday afternoon. A gunny bag was spotted by employees of a toll plaza. The police recovered found the dead body of the child in the bag. 

A CCTV footage showed the child going inside a shop along with the accused where the latter worked and later the accused dragging a gunny bag outside the shop. 

Victim's father, Parshuram, is blaming Bairagarh Police for the negligence as two days ago he had registered a case against the tutor, Vishal Rupani, whom he suspected of hurting his family.

"We had told Vishal that he can no longer come to teach our children as we received certain suspicious information about him. But one night he entered my house at around 3 am after which I filed a complaint in the police station. He threatened me that he will kidnap my wife and ruin my family. If the police had taken action on time then this situation would not have arrived," Parshuram said.

According to reports, the child’s mother Savita Mahavar in her statement before the police suspected involvement of the home tutor who, she alleged, had threatened her with dire consequences after she had objected to his objectionable behaviour.
