BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh on Tuesday said the minor blast outside the NIA camp office here was intended to give out a message that it should go slow on the Burdwan blast probe. "Infact yesterday's low intensity blast outside the NIA office seems to be a message by the terrorists that we have gained ground in Kolkata and suburbs also and the NIA should go slow on the Burdwan probe," Singh told a press conference in Kolkata.

Singh also alleged that apart from Burdwan blast case, the police administration has also kept a stoic silence on two other blast cases in 2012 and 2013. "Not only the Burdwan blast case, earlier in 2012 there was blast in Metiabruz. What happened to that investigation? In 2013 too there was blast where a son of a TMC councillor was involved. What happened to that investigation? It seems to be a habit of the TMC administration to put a lid on all kinds of bomb blast investigations," Singh said.

The BJP leader alleged that the state police was not doing its job properly and said JMB terrorists had set up a lab in Burdwan and were also manufacturing rocket launchers but the police had preferred to sit tight on it. Accusing Trinamool Congress of having link with a terrorist outfit in Bangladesh, Singh said "There have been various reports in leading newspapers of Bangladesh quoting their intelligence agencies to this effect. TMC should give an answer to this. We demand an explanation to these reports," he said.
