BJYM kicks off campaign to promote Bhim App, Swachh Bharat

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Chief Poonam Mahajan today launched 'I Am New India' campaign to promote Bhim App, in order to further Prime Minister Narendra Modi's digital initiative.

The BJYM President kicked off the campaign from Meerut as part of BJP's youth drive to promote cashless economy.

Addressing youngsters at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, the BJP MP urged them to help other people download and understand the Bhim App, a digital payment gateway.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a call to party members to launch the campaign between April 6, its foundation day, and April 14, Bhim Rao Ambedkar's birth anniversary, to promote the app named after the Dalit icon.

Mahajan said India is developing under Modi's leadership and he as high hopes from youths, according to a BJP statement.

She also promoted sanitation drive as part of the government's 'Swachh Bharat' campaign.

She urged youths to join this cause irrespective of their political affiliations.

"She emphasised that we need to work together as a team with accountability to take India to its golden era," the statement said.
