Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the black money row, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government had no intention of returning the money as they wanted to keep it for themselves and use it in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

"The BJP does not want to return the black money that has been accumulated abroad as they want to distribute it to PM Modi's industrialist friends and among themselves," Lalu tweeted. Regarding the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, he accused the 'tired, beaten and dejected'  BJP of trying to win the polls using the black money but added that the people have decided to get rid of the BJP once and for all.

"Bihariyo ne thaana hai, BJP ko bhagana hai. (Biharis have decided to drive BJP out), Lalu said in a tweet. The government today announced a campaign against black money stashed in safe havens abroad and constituted an investigation team headed by two retired judges of the Supreme Court.
