Bengaluru: Accenture techie stabbed to death by two bike-borne men

The body has been handed over to the relatives after the postmortem.

A 28-year-old software engineer on his way to meet his colleague was stabbed to death by two bike-borne men near Chocolate factory on Monday. Pranay Mishra working with Accenture was a resident of Tavarekere. 

According to media reports, Pranay parties at his friend's residence in Begur on Sunday night and returned home around  2.45 am. After that, he reportedly called his girlfriend and fixed an appointment to meet her in a few minutes. 

While on his way, two bike-borne men accosted him, say media reports. Pranay was stabbed many times in the stomach and neck. He was rushed to St John's Medical College Hospital by a few passerby who noticed him lying on the road. 

Police suspect it to be the hand of somebody known to Pranay and there appears to be a personal reason behind this. 

CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the junction has been collected by the police. 

The body has been handed over to the relatives after the postmortem. His body will be taken to Odisha for last rites.
