The Allahabad High Court fixed tomorrow as the next date of hearing the case against chairman of UP Jal Nigam Azam Khan, who is also a senior cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh.

The order was passed today by a division bench here of justices Sudhir Agarwal and Ravindra Nath Mishra on a writ petition filed by UP Jal Nigam through its chairman in a case related to an assistant engineer of the board.

The chief judicial magistrate and senior superintendent of police appeared before the court today as per earlier orders.

On March 7, the court had directed to CJM and SSP Lucknow to appear before it on to explain as to why no action be taken for committing deliberate and intentional contempt of the court's order and no charge be framed against them for non compliance of order dated March 1 related to bailable warrant against Azam Khan.

The court had issued bailable warrant against Khan on March 1 for securing his presence in the court on March 6 in a service-related case of an engineer.

Azam did not appear despite the earlier order of the court and moved the Supreme Court.
