After Smriti Irani's complaint, Amethi district administration to investigate Samrat Bicycles land row

A day after Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani assured the people that the land allegedly grabbed by Samrat Bicycles here will either be given back to the farmers or a factory will be set up there, the district administration today said it will get the matter investigated.

The Union Minister has presented some documents in this regard and the matter will be investigated properly, Amethi district magistrate said. Irani, who was here on a two-day visit had assured people yesterday that the land allegedly grabbed by Samrat Bicycles will either be given back to the farmers concerned or a factory will be set up where one member of each family will be employed.

The land concerned was registered by Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust in its account and later it was returned to Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) on a court's order.
