The trouble for Malyalam actor Dileep has only increased, as per initial estimates of Enforcement Directorate(ED) the actor and his relatives owns real estate worth 600 crores.

ED is taking a look over financial transactions of Malyalam movies over the past five years and has been tracking down hawala links, black money and middle-east connections as well. The matter got into ED's notice after Dileep was arrested for abduction and assault of an actress on February 17, as the actor had offered Rs 1.5 crores to a gang of goons to torture and abuse his female colleague and shoot it on tape as well. Report by Manorama even mentioned that huge sum of money was transferred to woman in Malyalam film industry from an account held by Dileep. This transaction happened in early March. They also have evidence of money invested by benami sources into the account of multiplex owned by Dileep in Chalakudy three years ago.The  actor has also received monetary contributions from abroad for his real estate business. Dileep's stage shows abroad are also under scanner, The agency is keeping a track on foreign shooting locations to track down black money as films have been the easiest source of money laundering.

After the Angamly court extended his police custody on July 14, the actor has submitted his bail plea at Kerala High Court on Monday. Dileep has also been expelled from the primary membership of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) after being arrested. Earlier, the two main accused - Sunil Kumar and Vigeesh - in the abduction and assault of the Malayalam actress were brought to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for evidence collection. A case of attempted rape was filed after the actress was allegedly abducted and molested. The incident reportedly took place while the victim was returning from a shoot. According to police, the actress was held in the car for two hours, after which, she was dropped near her residence at around 10.30 p.m. The police stumbled upon the conspiracy angle last week, when Dileep's name surfaced in a jail inmate's letter, who shared the cell with Sunil.
