Three persons have been arrested for allegedly trying to extort money from a businessman in Vasant Kunj in south Delhi, the police said.
A businessman had complained on June 5 that Vishnu, Vijay and Jabar were demanding Rs one lakh per month as extortion money by threatening to kill him, they said.
DCP (South) Ishwar Singh said on the basis of the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Vasant Kunj North police station and the accused were arrested.
One pistol with two live cartridges, a knife as well as a toy gun and a car used by the accused in commissioning the crime have been recovered, the DCP said.
