24-yr-old woman commits suicide

A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Shahbad Dairy area, the police said today.

Charu was found dead in her house yesterday, they said.

She was married to one Sarvapriya, a doctor by profession. The couple had a love marriage around 10 months ago, but had, over the period of time, developed differences, police said.

A sub-divisional magistrate carried out an inquiry into the matter. A case was registered today and her husband arrested for allegedly harassing her, they said.
