Two persons have been arrested for allegedly killing two men over their election-related rivalry near Govindpuram trisection here, police said today.

City Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar said Gajendra alias Girish and Kapil were arrested in the intervening night of Wednesday and today.

Two pistols of 32 and 30 bore have been recovered from the possession of Gajendra alias Girish and Kapil.

During interrogation, the both accused confessed to the crime and said they have shot dead Jogendra and Jugni, the officer claimed, adding the plan was chalked out by Phool Kunwar.

The duo told police that they had an enmity with the family of Vedoo Pahalwan over civic polls. Once Vedoo, Jogendra, Jugni and Phool Kunwar had barged into their house as they wanted to kill our family members, he said.

A case attempt to murder is still pending in the district court in the matter.

Later, Phool Kunwar joined their group and played a vital role in killing Jugni and Jogendra.

The two accused have been sent to jail, the officer added.
