11 sentenced to life in murder case

A Hajipur court today awarded life sentence to 11 people in a three-year-old murder case in Vaishali district.

Additional district and sessions judge Bhola Nath Tiwari held them guilty in the case and sentenced them to life imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, Ener Rai was killed on November 16, 2014 by some people following a land dispute over felling of a tree in Chakunda village under Hajipur Sadar police station.

All the 11 convicts are the residents of Chakunda.

They are Rambhag Rai, Dilip Rai, Ranjit Rai, Amardeep Rai, Ashok Rai, Ramnath Rai, Bharat Rai, Chandeshwar Rai, Vijay Rai, Gulab Rai, and Pradip Rai.
