Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said social entrepreneurs can benefit from Swachh Bharat programme as it has huge business element, while stressing on the need to convert waste into wealth.
A star-studded evening saw the celebration of 90 years of Essel. What started as a grain market in Mandi Adampur, set up by Shri Jagan Nath Goenka and his brothers in 1926, grew to a multi-billion dollar conglomerate with a diverse presence across media, entertainment, packaging, infra, education, precious metals, finance, and technology.
The mega event was graced by the who's who of India including PM Modi and President Mukherjee. The event was hosted by Zee News Chief Editor Sudhir Chaudhary. The Zee Legacy Business Awards was handed out to Dr Anand C Burman (Dabur), Piyush Desai – (Wagh Bakri Tea Group) and Murtaza Khorakiwala (Wockhardt Limited). Dr Subhash Chandra marked the occasion by launching several new Zee initiatives including the Army Behind The Army, Sarthi and the DSC foundation.
