Much awaited trailer for the Fantastic Beasts sequel, The Crimes of Grindelwald, has arrived.

Warner Bros released a new poster and the first official trailer for the second film in the Harry Potter spin-off franchise on Tuesday.

The action of the wizarding world moves to the other side of the pond, from New York to Paris. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), our beloved Hogwarts drop out magizoologist is working for Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to track down and stop nefarious wizard Giller Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) in his tracks.

MCUSA thinks so. We, the viewers, know so. But in the trailer, we see Dumbledore play dumb and deny that Scamander would take any orders from him.

"If you'd ever had the pleasure to teach him, you'd know Newt is not a great follower of orders," says Dumbledore.

For the rest of the trailer, we see all the characters in coats that all have turned up collars. Except for maybe Jacob 'No-Maj' Kowalski (Dan Fogler). The trailer gives the first glimpse of Newt's ex-girlfriend Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz) and his brother Theseus (Callum Turner). Some of you will be excited to see Credence (Ezra Miller) is alive and smashing magical things.

Then we hear the Big Ben chime and we see Grindelwald in a horrible white hairdo, staring down your soul. He is up to no good. Dumbledore's voiceover for that scene hints at why he can't rein in the dark wizard himself. (Much drama happened over that).

At the mark of 1.37 in the trailer, Newt hits one spectacular shot out of the park with his wand (golfers, cricket fans, baseball fans, add him to your fantasy leagues!) and we see Scamander Bros work their magic together.

In all this process, we get to see magical beasts. Beloved Bowtruckle Pickett runs around causing trouble for Newt. There are many others we will get to know in due time. But no sign of the niffler yet.

Apart from the above-mentioned actors, the movie also stars Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Carmen Ejogo and others.

Directed by David Yates and written by JK Rowling, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will hit theatres on November 16, 2018.
