Daniel Craig has reportedly agreed to return as James Bond for Bond 25 and producer Barbara Broccoli is lining up Adele to sing the theme song.

The Skyfall team had racked in $1.1 billion worldwide in 2012. Maybe that is the reason Broccoli wants the success to be repeated for Bond 25, reports Daily Mirror.

Craig had signed on for five Bond movies, but after the release of Spectre in 2015, he said that he would 'rather slash wrists' than come back to play the role of the iconic British spy.

British stars like Idris Elba, James Norton, Aidan Turner, and Tom Hardy were the names tipped off to be the next Bond. Actresses like Gillian Anderson, Priyanka Chopra had pitched for a female Bond.

'Hello' singer Adele had to cancel the final two shows of her world tour, at Wembley, because of her damaged vocal chords. But according to the daily, Broccoli is determined to 'talking the singer around.'

Adele won her first Oscar for singing the title song of Skyfall, bringing her one step closer to earning the EGOT (Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys) tag.

The daily quoted a source as saying, "Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners. It’s taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong con–sensus in the Bond offices is that Mr Craig is 007 again. As for Adele, she’s more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive."

Scriptwriter for Skyfall and Spectre, John Logan, is also said to be on board for the project. Director Sam Mendes might be missing from the action though.

Interstellar director Christopher Nolan, who has WWII thriller Dunkirk set to release on July 21, is reportedly in talks with the producers.

Nolan told Playboy, "I've spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson over the years. I deeply love the character, and I'm always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You'd have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they're getting along very well."

Craig had said that if he ever returned to the franchise, it would be for money. According to the report, Sony Pictures have offered him £120million for two more movies.

Report also suggests that 'Bond 25' will begin filming next year and would be released at the end of 2018
