Peanuts creator Charles M Schulz's house in Santa Rosa, California was recently destroyed by the ongoing wildfires in the region.

The wildfire has claimed over 31 lives, left hundreds of others missing, and has caused millions of dollars worth of damage.

Schulz's son, Monte told AP News that his stepmother Jean Schulz evacuated the house on Monday and is living with her daughter.

"It’s the house he died in. All of their memorabilia and everything is all gone," Monte Schulz told AP.

Schulz built the house with his wife in 1970s he lived there until his death in 2000.

Most of Schulz's original artwork and memorabilia are at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, which escaped the flames.
