‘Strongest Indian’ competition to be held for the first time in India

World Strongmen Federation (WSF) is on the lookout for the ‘strongest Indian’. This competition is held in over 30 countries in the world but no Indian has been a part of it yet. But this year, India has been selected to be a part of the WSF World Cup 2016 and send the strongest Indian who will represent India at the global contest.

World Strongmen Federation (WSF) is on the lookout for the ‘strongest Indian’. This competition is held in over 30 countries in the world but no Indian has been a part of it yet. But this year, India has been selected to be a part of the WSF World Cup 2016 and send the strongest Indian who will represent India at the global contest.

The auditions will be held across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Ludhiana, Varanasi, Bhopal, Indore, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Goa. Tasks such as farmers’ walk, vehicle lift, truck pull, tug of war and beer keg toss will be part of the competition and it will be judged by an international referee from WSF.

Strongman Federation of India (SFI) will be the official federation representing India at the WSF headed by Kaizzad Capadia and Pradeep Baba Madhok.

Kaizzad Capadia is one of the pioneers on the fitness industry and the co-founder of K11 fitness academy, responsible for training over 30,000 students in fitness industry. ‘ It is called ‘strongest Indian’ as we will select one man and one woman. Through this competition we want to raise awareness about the importance of strength training,’ he added.

Baba Madhok is the ex-President of Indian Bodybuilders Federation, IBBF (recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) and president of the WBPF world bodybuilding and physique sports federation, the first and only Indian till date to be elected as the world president of a bodybuilding federation.

The competition will be telecast on Indian channels as a reality show and the winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs and all finalists will win Rs. 50,000. The finale will be held in Goa on Baga beach in October this year.
