Watch: EIC hilariously explains how even writing about IPL is using up water

East India Comedy strikes again. This time, they dive into the issue of drought in India, particularly in Maharashtra's Latur region, how it's leading to farmer suicides and some of the prime reasons behind water wastage.

Presented by the EIC member, Azeem Banatwalla, the video will make you both laugh and introspect about how we consume water.

EIC looks into the controversy of moving IPL matches out of Maharashtra to reduce the consumption of water at stadiums. Banatwalla explains how even printing news about IPL on papers is using up water.

He also points out how Eknath Khadse, the Maharashtra Minister of Agriculture, wasted 10,000 litres of water to make a helipad in order to visit the drought-hit Latur.

But, the video does not just stop at pointing out flaws. It also brings up role models for viewers to follow, like Akshay Kumar's contribution to drought relief and Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar's work in drought-hit villages.

While being funny, Azeem Banatwalla's overview of the drought is also a serious look at how we can contribute to mass water wastage and be of help in big and small ways.

Watch the video, have a laugh and then do something about it!
