Yvonne Strahovski and Sterling K Brown set to star in 'The Predator' reboot

Yvonne Strahovski, best known for her role as CIA Agent Sarah Walker on NBC series Chuck, is in talks to join the upcoming new take on The Predator.

Jacob Tremblay and Boyd Holbrook are already on board the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Strahovski is in final talks to play the mother of Jacob Tremblay's character, a troubled boy who is accidentally drawn into the conflict with the fierce alien creatures by her ex-husband (played by Logan star Boyd Holbrook).

Sterling K Brown has also sealed the deal with the makers of the reboot.

The 40-year-old actor famous for his role as Randall Pearson in TV series This Is Us is on board for 20th Century Fox's remake of the alien action franchise launched in 1987, reported Variety.

Although Brown had been in talks for the role for almost a month, the actor's representative confirmed on signing the project. Brown is also part of Marvel Cinematic Universe as he has been cast in Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther.

Shane Black directs and co-writes The Predator reboot. The production begins in Vancouver. The movie also stars Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen and Olivia Munn.

The revamped version is slated to hit theatres across the nation starting February 9, 2018.
