Why Katrina Kaif turned down Half Girlfriend

Before Shraddha Kapoor was finalised as the heroine of Half Girlfriend, Katrina Kaif was offered the role.

Director Mohit Suri was keen to cast Kat opposite Arjun Kapoor, but she turned it down. Says a  source, “Katrina liked the script, but suggested he cast another actress because she might look older than Arjun, who also happens to be her close friend. This happened especially after her pairing with Aditya Roy Kapoor (in Fitoor ) and Sidharth Malhotra (in Baar Baar Dekho).

Mohit was impressed by her honesty and signed Shraddha. In the meantime, he promised Kat that he will come back with a good script to her for his next after Half Girlfriend.
