Sonakshi Sinha sad about step-motherly treatment to India's women's cricket team

 India's women cricket team performance on international and national grounds has been commendable but unfortunately it failed to grab the required amount of attention as compared to men's cricket team. Expressing her disappointment on this kind of step-motherly treatment with the women's team, Sonakshi Sinha said it is time to recognise and focus on women cricket team as well. 

'I feel sad,' said the 'Lootera' actress while reacting to the question about the Indian women cricket team not being promoted well by the media. In an exclusive interview to ANI, the 28-year-old said: 'It is an achievement that while the men's T20 was going on, the Indian women's cricket team won the T20 series in Australia as well. It wasn't really spoken about that much. It was disheartening that why women are given this step treatment. So, I hope wish and pray that people start talking about it a lot more and is given importance that it deserves which I believe is equal to the importance of men's game.'

The actress has always expressed about the ongoing issues. She also tweeted for police horse, Shaktimaan, saying that the horse should have kicked those people in response.
Sonakshi, who was present in Delhi to launch a sports brand called 'New Balance' at the DLF Mall of India, will soon be seen sharing the screen space with Konkana Sen in AR Murugadoss directorial 'Akira' and John Abraham in 'Force 2.'
