Sohail Khan: Salman bhai’s films release on Eid, his chota bhai’s film should release on Choti Eid

Sohail Khan’s directorial Freaky Ali is clashing with Baar Baar Dekho. Speaking about it, Sohail says there was no choice but to take on Baar Baar Dekho, which opens on Friday, September 9.

Sohail elaborates, “There are only 52 Fridays in a year and we make over 300 Hindi films. So, there will be two or more films coming together. As far as our film is concerned, we had decided on the second week of September, long ago. See, Salman bhai’s films release on Eid, his chota bhai’s film should rightfully release on Choti Eid (Eid-ul-Zuha on September 12). We welcome Baar Baar Dekho.

I think there is enough room for both films. We’re both releasing a modest 800-1000 prints. Besides, Farhan Akhtar (Baar Baar Dekho’s producer) is like a brother. I would want his film to do as well as mine.”
