If all goes well, we might soon be seeing Salman Khan in a very interesting role. SS Rajamouli's father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, was in Chennai recently to talk to students of a film institute. While talking to the students of BOFTA, a well-known film school founded by former producer G Dhananjayan, Vijayendra Prasad made some revelations.

He told them he had plans to make a sequel to the highly-acclaimed film Eega / Naan Ee. The movie was dubbed and released in Hindi as Makkhi. In the film, the fly is portrayed as the protagonist. Vijayendra Prasad's son SS Rajamouli, the director of Baahubali, directed the film in which Kannada star Sudeep played the baddie.

Vijayendra Prasad told the students that Bollywood star Salman Khan had expressed interest in acting in the sequel. Vijayendra Prasad had also written the story for Salman Khan's runaway hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan which was directed by Kabir Khan.

Vijayendra Prasad also said that the story idea for Makkhi came from Spielberg's ET. If Rajamouli does decide to make the sequel to Eega it will be after the release of Baaahubali Part 2 in 2017.

The total worldwide collections for Eega was about Rs 62 crore in 45 days.
