'Stranger Things,' 'Fences,' 'Hidden Figures' took home the biggest awards of the night. 'La La Land' continues the winning streak.

One of the most prestigious awards in the season of acknowledgment and applause for the entertainment industry in the US, Screen Actor Guild honoured the best of 2016 on Sunday night.
From the beginning, when Kerry Washington began the show with her monologue, the atmosphere charged up against the immigration ban imposed by US President Donald Trump.
As La La Land continued a good run with Emma Stone taking home the Best Actress Award, Hidden Figures cast celebrated their first win with Best Ensemble award.
Stranger Things cast couldn't fit on the stage and brimmed with excitement after winning the Best Ensemble in Drama Series. Winona Ryder gave enough fodder for memes and reaction gifs.

William H Macy won the Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series award and thanked President Trump for one specific reason

Just like Viola Davis, Mahershala Ali is picking up every award there is in the Best Male Supporting Actor category for his role in Barry Jenkins' Moonlight. Ali spoke about uplifting those who are being persecuted and tell them that they matter. One of the best speeches of the night!

Sarah Paulson continued her run of winning all the awards for her portrayal of Marcia Clarke in The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story. She also batted for ACLU and appealed to the audience to send them donations.

Hidden Figures was one of the biggest upset of the night. The cast picked up the trophy for Best Ensemble Cast. Taraji P Henson gave the acceptance speech and honoured the real heroes whose lives the movie is based on.
