Riteish Deshmukh's 'Banjo' is a non-starter at the box office!

Banjo was aimed to establish Riteish Deshmukh as a major solo hero in Bollywood but it seems that the idea has not worked well. Unline Marathi films where his Lai Bhaari created magic on screen, Banjo has failed to rise upto people's expectations. 

The opening day occupancy are extremely poor. Banjo opened at around 15% all over India, with the most audience coming from Maharashtra where the film is based. Boxofficeindia.com reports that the film might have done better in the local language than Hindi. 

It needs to be seen if the film gets picked up in the evening shows and what it's final day one figures are.
