RGV Ka Aag: Director's book says he had a huge crush on Sridevi

Ram Gopal Varma has finally opened up to his celebrity crush, in his autobiography titled Guns and Thighs, Varma has dedicated a chapter to it, specifically giving details on his admiration for Sridevi, as reported by The Himalayan Times. He has described her as the "Goddess of beauty" and goes on to elaborate as to why he cannot forgive her husband Boney Kapoor.

Further defending his stand, he says, "It was a love letter… I was going overboard but that was my feeling. Everyone can have a crush on anyone, be it on a real person or a celebrity, you enjoy that feeling of high… It is almost like a drug."

While confessing his love for the Chandni star, at an event in Delhi, he also said, "…To see Sridevi making tea in Boney Kapoor’s kitchen was a huge letdown. I won’t forgive him because he brought the angel down from heaven to the kitchen of his apartment."

When asked about his feelings for Urmila Matondkar, who was considered his muse, Varma revealed that he has mentioned in the book that capturing Urmila’s beauty on camera was one of the reasons behind making Rangeela and that turned her into a superstar overnight. He also spoke about capturing Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar and his obsession to the characters. He has dedicated his autobiography to author Ayn Rand of The Fountainhead, among others, and wishes to make a film on the novel.
