Aadesh Shrivastava was one of the pioneers in gifting industry with some melodious, soft numbers- ones that spoke of love, relationships, the pangs, the anguish and the heartbreak. Give him a mellowed situation and he will craft a gem for you. Having crooned and composed several songs over the last few decades, Aadesh had created a niche of his own. But the music composer who was battling for his life at the Kokilaben Hospital after his cancer relapsed for the third time eventually succumbed to the disease on September 5.

At 51, it was too early for him to go. Aadesh was diagnosed with cancer back in 2010 but he managed to defeat the disease twice before it relapsed third time. But this time, the doctors had given up and his body stopped responding to the medical treatment. While Aadesh breathed his last on Saturday, we list down 7 songs that will immortalise his soul.

Mora Piya (Rajneeti)

Possibly the most poignant songs in his career, Mora Piya stands as a testimony to the towering work that Aadesh has done throughout his life. He crooned the song with the perfect mix of angst, pain and the anguish. And sadly, post his death, all his fans would be left singing this one for him as well..

Suno Na Suno Na (Chalte Chalte)

One of the best albums of that year, Aadesh infused love, romance and mixed it with a lot of life in the Chalte Chalte album. While the entire sound track remains one of the most loved albums ever, our pick would definitely be Suno Na Suno Na from the film. And, it's still one of the most played songs on radio. That says it all.

Main Yahan Tu Wahan (Baghban)

Amitabh Bachchan and Aadesh Shrivastava got along like a house on fire. And the bond still remains. Getting him behind the mic wasn't difficult for Aadesh and what he brought out eventually was a masterpiece. While Chali Chali was an otherwise peppy number and many would pick that as their favourite from the album, Main Yahan Tu Wahan had the typical Aadesh touch to it. We love.

Bebaasi Dard ka Alam (Baabul)

Another magical piece, one that speaks volumes of his incredible talent, Bebaasi Dard Ka Alam broke hearts every time you hear it. And that's when you know Aadesh has winner at hand!

Yeh Hawayein (Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai)

Apart from the sad songs, one romantic song (other than Chalte Chalte) that comes to your mind instantly when you think of Aadesh is definitely the Yeh Hawayein number from Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai. Soft and melodious, Aadesh coalesced the genius of Alka Yagnik and Shaan to create this memorable love track.

Shava Shava (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham)

Peppy, urban and groovy, this one was an amazing party number which rocked discos and parties for years. While Aadesh usually struck a chord with his soft numbers, Shava Shava still remains one of his best creations from his repertoire.

Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere (Shastra)

Another groovy dance number, people might have forgotten the film but the Kya Ada number from the film still remains etched in everyone's minds.
