There are not many things Ranveer Singh can't do. From sword-fighting in Bajirao Mastaani to being the most adorable boyfriend, the star has been stealing hearts with his every move. It has now been reported by Mumbai Mirror that Ranveer will rap in Hindi, Urdu and Marathi for Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's next film!

Tentatively titled Gully Boy, the film is based on the rise of street rappers from the slums of Mumbai to becoming rap sensations. "The film is inspired by real life rappers like Divine and Naezy whose work has ranged from speaking about petty crimes in their respective Mumbai neighbourhoods of Kurla and Andheri to sharing stories about finding a voice and becoming activists," said a source close to the development, as reported by Mumbai Mirror.

The filmmakers have been hanging out with both rappers as part of their research and have been instrumental in the scripting. The duo had paid tribute to Mumbai city in 2011 with "Meri Gully Mein" on street life and "Jungli Sher" on their personal struggles.

The others who have inspired the film are many politically incorrect rappers who partake in politician bashing, issues like oppression, homosexuality and inequality and have become youth icons of sorts. Some of these rappers are Muck Fodi (Ashwini Mishra), Kolkata based Feyago (Vik Sen) and Bangalore-based Brodha V (Vignesh Shivanand).

Ranveer, who is currently shooting in Paris for Befikre with Vaani Kapoor, had had a five-hour long meeting with Zoya and Reema before flying to Paris.

Ranveer will be seen with another mainstream actor in this ambitious project and will reportedly rap in Urdu, Hindi and Marathi for this hard-hitting film.
