Raghu Mukherjee, who won Grasim Mr India and Mr International title more than a decade ago, is set pair with Prithvi Nakshathra in a romantic love flick – Mungaarina Sanje.

Mukherjee, who earned name and fame for his performance in successful Kannada films Paris Pranaya, Savari and Dandupalya, was away from the silver screen for more than a year. His last film Super Ranga was released in 2014.

According to Mukherjee, Mungaarina Sanje would be full of romance and he has been assigned to play a rough and tough character which doesn’t believe anyone in society. “The character is such that it will not be in a position to believe anyone because it has undergone all types of problems. I have been assigned to play this character. It will be the first time for me to play such character,’’ Mukherjee said.

What has made Mukherjee to accept this assignment? “Director Wesley Brown is known to me for the last few years. I could not resist the offer when Wesley Brown narrated the story to me. It is interesting. I hope Kannada audience will accept this film,’’ he said.

Mangaluru belle Prithvi Nakshtra, born and brought up in Mangaluru and pursued higher education at Mysuru and doing fashion designing in Bengaluru, makes debut in Sandalwood with this film. “My passion is acting in films. I was waiting for an opportunity. One of my relatives introduced me to director Wesley Brown. I attended acting classes at Adarsha Film Institute and also learnt dance. I want to prove my mettle with this film and earn name and fame in Sandalwood,’’ says Nakshatra.

The regular shooting of Mungaarina Minchu is expected to commence from next month. Director Wesley Brown has decided to shoot the film in and around Bengaluru, Nepal, Gujarat and other locations. “We want to release this film in December,’’ says Brown.
