The rivalry between the two actresses, which had mellowed down, might just get ugly again with PeeCee’s recent statement
That Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan do not share a friendly vibe is known to all. The two shared the screen together in Aitraaz, however, post the release things turned bitter between the two actresses.
Ever since then the pretty ladies have often made nasty statements about each other in media interviews. However, off late, the rivalry between them had mellowed down, or so it seemed. And we hoped that the duo might get back to being good friends, but it looks like we were wrong because Ms Chopra recently took a dig at Kareena yet again. Indirectly, of course.
As we all know, PeeCee received a National Award for her performance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. So recently at an event when the Mary Kom actress was asked if every actress working in Bhandarkar’s movie gets a National Awards, the Exotic singer said, “Har Heroine ko nahi (Not every heroine). Mujhe mila hai (I got it) and I was very happy, and Kangana ko (even Kangana did too). We made a really amazing team. And I am very happy with the fact that we are coming together again as a team. Hum log collaboratively bahut accha kaam karte hain (as a team we do good work). So I don’t know about National Awards, I have stopped thinking about awards, if I get it's great otherwise it’s ok.”
Now, it’s known Kareena played the lead role in Bhandarkar’s 2012 movie Heroine, and unfortunately missed on the opportunity of getting a National Award for her performance. So was Priyanka’s comment, “har heroine ko nahi” referring to her?
