Pakistani actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Veena Mallik ends her 3-year-old marriage

Pakistani actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Veena Mallik has ended her three year old marriage with Asad Bashir Khan Khattak, after a family court granted them divorce.

As per reports, the Lahore court accepted Veena's 'Khula' (divorce) application, and gave its verdict in her favour after non pursuance of the case by her former husband. Since, Veena had filed for divorce, she'll have to return 25 percent of the dowry money known as 'haq mehr' to Khatak. 

Veena and Asad got married in an intimate wedding on December 2013. They have two children from their marriage. Word has it, that they decided to split when Asad started objecting to Veena's desire to continue working in movies post marriage whereas Asad wanted her to look after their children. Reportedly, they started having arguments over the same.

Apparently, they had been living separately from January post which Veena had filed for a divorce. As per a report in Geo News, the counsel of the actress, Ali Ahmed, has confirmed the separation, saying that the family court issued the decree on January 31, after she filed for separation.
