Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor have teamed up for the first time in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon. The film will release in 10 days from now but their on-screen kisses and electric chemistry has become the talk of the town.
Little does anyone know that there's brewing tension between Shahid and Kangana. Repeatedly, the two have made it clear in front of the media that they aren't friends. And Kangana, during her promotional spree, has hit out at Shahid several times. Here's all that she had to say about her Rangoon co-star.
We weren't pally!
In an interview, recently when she was quizzed about her relationship with Shahid, she retorted, "I don’t see any trouble between us. Of course, we weren’t pally, which probably was misconstrued. People need to understand that we don’t go to work to make friends."
Sharing a cottage with Shahid was a nightmare!
As we all know, Shahid and Kangana are two extremely different people. So during the Rangoon shoot, when the two actors had to share the cottage, Kangana describes it as her 'nightmare'. "We were shooting in a remote location where a little makeshift cottage was erected. Shahid and I were sharing the cottages with our respective teams. Every morning, I would wake up to this mad hip- hop music. And he would exercise listening to crazy trance and techno songs blasting from the speakers. I was fed up and wanted to shift out. Sharing the cottage with Shahid was a nightmare."
Shahid would often freak out!
Adding to that, she also mentioned how it was easier for her to adjust than Shahid. "Initially, it was a bit taxing because I was suddenly taken from an urban location to an extremely remote location with no network. But, gradually, it became a lot easier since I am a mountain girl. But Shahid would often freak out," she said.
Shahid is friendly one day, suspicious the other
In another interview with Spotboye.com, Kangana spoke about her difficulties to blend in with Shahid. "Shahid is very friendly on certain days but extremely suspicious on other days. Maybe that's again because of my intense expression. But even I can be like him. There are days when I get zoned out."
Shahid's moustache is horrible
For his role in Rangoon, Shahid sports a moustache. And Kangana took a dig at it saying, "I don't like intimate scenes in a film. They are the most difficult to shoot. You have a formal equation with someone and suddenly you are into each other's mouth. That big moustache of Shahid is horrible. It was such a ... Not a turn-off but a tragedy of different level! When I asked him about it, he said he applies wax and has a running nose! Mera naak isme bah ke jaata hai."
