Maha Shivratri on Badho Bahu: Why Prince Narula REFUSED to play Lord Shiva

Bigg Boss 9 winner Prince Narula is a busy man. He's shooting for &TV's show Badho Bahu where he's playing the male lead. But for a special Maha Shivratri episode to be aired today (February 24), Prince was asked to play Lord Shiva. 

According to a report in Asian age, "The actor was asked to play the role for  a scene where his wife Badho imagines Lucky — Prince’s onscreen character — as Lord Shiva."

But Prince declined the offer right away. Why? Prince who follows a strict diet (for his fitness regimen) had already consumed some chicken for breakfast (protein). So he told the tema he can't play Shiva on screen and the entire scene had to called off and a new script was written for the show.

Prince told Asian Age, "The screenplay had just come in and I was briefed about the scene. I was asked to play Lord Shiva at a very short notice. I can’t play the role of any God the day I have non-vegetarian food. I am particular about following certain religious norms. Had they told me in advance, I would have made sure I didn’t consume non-veg on that particular day. Well, it was my personal call, and I am glad that my producer Deeptiji allowed me to skip the scene."
