Sapna Bhavnani became a public figure once she decided to step into the Bigg Boss house in one of its earlier seasons. Although she came across as someone extremely opinionated and aggressive (she even hit out at Salman during an episode), Sapna still managed to go quite far on the show.

Calling Salman a 'male chauvinistic pig'
When asked about her BB experience, Sapna told a daily, "(It was a) f***all experience. You have a male chauvinistic f**king pig as a host of this f**king show, that insults people, so people watch the show, and people worship him on the show because people want a job in one of his stupid f**kall movies where he dances like a monkey – that’s Big Boss in a nutshell."
Hitting out at Katrina Kaif
The makers of Fitoor apparently paid Rs 55 lakhs to get Katrina Kaif's red hair done for the film. That too by a foreign expert hair stylist. This angered Sapna. She wrote a post on Facebook slamming Katrina. It read - "The white people left but we are still smitten by them. Any Indian stylist could've done this job (maybe even better or suggested her not to do it cuz it doesn't suit her) but that's not the point,The point is which Producer would've paid an Indian Stylist 55 lakh to do the job?? Lol, I don't think I even need to answer that. I love our Indian Hair Industry and salute every stylist working their ass off and want them to know we are worth more!
This racism is evident in every field be it modelling, cinematography, directing, hair/makeup, wardrobe, etc Etc ... This has to change. First, a woman, then an Indian.. Two whammies against equal pay is just ridiculous. #katrinaKaif."

Sapna Bhavnani and VJ Bani might be the best of friends but a recent row has put them in a fix. The two Bigg Boss contestants were spotted locking lips on a beach. The picture has already gone viral on the Internet and has received tremendous backlash as well. While Bani has maintained a stoic silence on the issue so far, India.com got in touch with Sapna who lashed out at the portal. "Arey yaar, what is wrong with you guys? I don’t understand these phone calls that I am getting. I am work right now and won’t discuss this," said an irritated Sapna.
