Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9: Gaurav Gera feels playing a woman and dancing like one are two different things

Though he has mastered the skill of dressing up as a woman, Gaurav Gera finds it tough to groove like one.

The 42-year-old actor, who will be participating in popular celeb-reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 9 as Chutki, feels that the accessories that help him amplify his woman-avatar's image are actually a hindrance during the rehearsals, reports the Deccan Chronicle. "When I agreed to perform as Chutki, I had no idea what I was getting into. Playing a woman and dancing like one are two different things, and I realised that during the rehearsals," he said.

Gaurav, on the same note, praised Kiku Sharda for participating as Palak in Jhalak's seventh season.
"I commend Kiku for the way he performed week after week with complete enthusiasm. I am not used to wearing heels but am now trying not just to walk but dance in them. I want to take it up as a challenge," he added.

Reportedly, Gaurav is paying special attention to Kiku's Jhalak videos to get his moves right.
