The international titles for Star Wars: The Last Jedi have been revealed sending fans into a frenzy yet again over the possibility of Luke Skywalker and Rey surviving whatever comes their way in Episode VIII.

When Lucasfilm revealed the title for the overall ninth movie in the Skywalker Saga, a lot of effort was put in by fans and pundits alike into figuring out what the title might be pointing at. Since plural of Jedi is Jedi, the title left a lot of room for speculation. Lack of explanation from the filmmakers regarding the title at the time only stoked the fire.

But because of the precision of language, when the titles in Spanish, German, French, and Italian were released they all used the plural form to describe the word Jedi.

Meaning, there won't be a single knight left standing at the end of The Last Jedi.

But it is advisable to rein in the celebrations over the news. Because it is unlikely, given the secret keeping tradition surrounding these movies, that international distributors were given the scoop on what exactly the title means when the release is still almost 10 months away. Then again, since all the posters are in plural, it also suggests that at least some guidance was offered by the filmmakers.

The confusion still leaves us with the following questions—

1. If The Last Jedi is singular, which one is surviving— Luke or Rey? Since they had no objection killing off Han Solo, will Luke be the next one to leave?

2. If The Last Jedi if plural, is it only Luke and Rey who will survive? Because before going AWOL, Luke was training young Jedi. Maybe someone or a bunch of them managed to escape Kylo Ren's massacre?

3. Is Kylo Ren leaving the dark side? Because maybe the possibility of 'Reylo' changed his mind?

There is a good chance that some of these and many other questions will be answered if Rian Johnson decides to release the film trailer at Star Wars Celebrations at Orlando on April 14.

Until then, may the force be with you.
