“It stings for Angelina to know that Brad still thinks about Jen and wants to stay connected to her,” the Hollywoodlife.com insider said, adding, “Angelina is frustrated, confused, annoyed and hurt that Brad would reach out to Jen so soon after breaking up with her.”
Page Six confirmed that the exes have been texting again, when Brad initiated the textual dialogue with Aniston, who is now married to Justin Theroux, to wish her a happy birthday on February 11. Pitt didn't even have Aniston's number, but "tracked it down through a tangled web of contacts," according to Elle.

A source "close to Brad" said to Page Six, "It isn’t romantic at all, they are friends again. They made it seem like Brad was running after Jen, and that isn’t true. It is nothing more than they are back in touch with each other.”
On the other hand Us Weekly reported, "Brad told her he's having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past."
After 12 years of marriage, Angelina filed for divorce citing the 'health' of her family back in September 2016 after Brad and their oldest son, Maddox were allegedly involved in some sort of tussle on the family's private plane. Pitt was cleared of all charges by the FBI in November.
