This weekend the brother-sister duo, Huma Qureshi and Saquib Saleem will appear on Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan’s Zee TV show Yaaron Ki Baraat. The siblings have been living together since they moved to Mumbai.

Saqib confessed that theyshare everything with each other and seek each other’s advice and opinion. Huma was quick to add that she sometimes uses a filter before sharing anything, as she is not sure whether Saqib’s friend mode is on or his protective brother mode. Saqib revealed that it was she who convinced him to play a gay character in Karan Johar’s Bombay Talkies. He added, “I loved the script but I had my reservations about the kissing scene with Randeep Hooda. I almost declined the offer, when Huma sat me down explained that we are actors and portray characters. She asked me to forget what people will think, and do the kiss with thorough professionalism like all other scenes in the film. We had a half-hour chat after which I gave my nod to the makers.” Huma revealed that Saqib was a compulsive flirt since his teens and had a girlfriend in every colony in Delhi. To the extent that he didn’t even spare her friends, “Daayan bhi do ghar chhodti hai, but this boy was so useless that he would hit on my best friend’s sister, who was like my sister!” Huma would then tell these girls that they deserved someone better.

Huma also shared a funny incident from their childhood when she hurled a season ball on hs head, making him instantly collapse with a thud. Rather than being worried about her brother, Huma shouted “Saqib is dead ... bhaago!” to escape the fury of their parents.

Yaaron Ki Baraat airs on Saturday December 3 at 8 pm, on Zee TV.
