Gauahar Khan's ex Nihar Pandya rubbishes Kushal Tandon's 'conversion' claims

Reacting strongly to television actor Kushal Tandon's allegation that he broke up with Gauahar Khan as she desired him to "change his beliefs", Gauahar's former boyfriend Nihar Pandya says religion was never an issue between them.

"We were together long enough to understand and come to terms with one another's attitude to life and religion. Not once did Gauahar suggest or even hint that I'd have to change my religion if I wanted to marry her. We are all mature individuals and fully conscious of our own religious beliefs and of those whom we are associated with. When one is deep into a relationship religion can't suddenly become a problem," comments Nihar.

He also feels that Kushal should not have gone public with inside details of his split with Gauahar. "What happens between two people should remain between them."

Actor Ajaz Khan, who came close to Gauahar in Bigg Boss last year, much to the anger and resentment of Kushal, also feels religion couldn't have been an issue in Gauahar's relationship with Kushal Tandon. "I think she is way too chilled out to impose her own beliefs on the other person."

Ajaz reveals that Gauahar's family never liked Kushal. "I've seen Kushal fighting with her for no reason at all. He is very insecure and childish. He could never come to terms with the fact that she was more successful. I knew they would break up. Bakre ki maa kab tak khair manaati. Khan Saab(pet name for Gauahar) ne bahot bardasht kiya ussko.. Gauahar is a good girl. God bless her."
