FLASHBACK: When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan claimed Salman Khan 'harrassed' her

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan's love story will go down history as one of the worst Bollywood scandals of all times. While the two actors started dating during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, soon love turned into obsession and things were not the same again.

Salman and Ash broke up soon after. But this didn't go down well with Salman. He would land up at Ash's house and plead her to come back to him. But all this didn't stop and the leading lady decided to address the whole issue openly in a shocking, explosive interview back in September 2002.

Talking to a leading daily, Ash revealed shocking details about her bitter break-up. "Salman and I broke up last March, but he isn't able to come to terms with it. After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened."

She even alleged that Salman was cheating on her. "He indirectly confessed to me one day," Ash revealed. She sealed the fate of their relationship with a press statement that read: "For my well-being and for the self-respect of my family, I will not work with Mr Salman Khan. The chapter of Salman Khan was a nightmare in my life. I am thankful that it is over now."

Although Salman has never spoken about the episode till date, the two have avoided each other ever since. They have not even worked together in any film ever again.
