Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sushant Singh Rajput unveiled the brilliant trailer of the Dhoni biopic. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story traces the success story of Captain Cool and brings out episodes from his life which are unknown to most.
Right after the trailer launch, the stage was open for some questions. But the production team made it very clear. Only fans will ask. When the irritated media protested, they were assured a Q-n-A session with Dhoni rightafter. But what happened shocked everyone present. Dhoni paid no heed to the media's cries and left the venue in a huff.
Several excuses were made and a few false promises later, Sushant came back with Vijay Singh, head honcho from FOX Star Studios and Neeraj. When media explained their issues, the makers showed no respect and as a result of that, most media personnels decided to stage a walkout.
Now, coming to the point. Azhar released months back and it didn't survive the pressure at the box office. Knowing the craze around Dhoni, it might be one of the biggest hits this year. But still, there's a huge difference between Mohammad Azharuddin and Dhoni.
Despite not being fluent in English, Azharuddin sat through the entire promotional campaign for his biopic. He tackled the tricky, controversial questions too. Dhoni could not take a risk. He decided to not talk to the media. We wonder why. He's a great speaker, he sat through the entire PC till the fan questions were answered. Why not face the media when they were called for that purpose. Furthermore, when they waited for almost four hours to interact with you.
You will still be the heartthrob of the nation Dhoni and are an exemplary sportsman on the field. But this behaviour has left us shocked. Sadly so. We wish you could take some cue from Azhar himself.
