Confirmed: Salman Khan in Riteish Deshmukh's next Marathi biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji

Salman Khan's Sultan has been raking huge moolah at the box office and is already this year's biggest blockbuster yet. But now, our Bhaijaan will yet again venture into Marathi cinema. 

Salman confirmed that he's been signed on for Riteish Deshmukh's next Marathi film. "I'm doing the film with Riteish. I did Lai Bhaari and I had told him I wanted to do another film in the language. Now, I literally forced myself into this film," he laughs. 

The film in point is the Chhatrapati Shivaji biopic that Riteish will be acting in and producing as well. "It's not Mauli, it's the film on Shivaji that I am a part of. It is not a cameo. I will be shooting for 5-6 days, so it's not just a guest appearance like Lai Bhaari."

Salman too has his Marathi connection with his mom Salma Khan belonging to this region. does he know Marathi? "I am not too fluent in the language because my mom doesn't speak in the language at all. She talks to me in a mix of different languages so in the same sentence, you will have Hindi, Marathi, everything," he tells us. 

Salman was last seen on popular Marathi comedy show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya to promote Sultan. Talking about that, he is all smiles. "Those guys were so funny. I loved shooting for that episode with them. It's the number one show on regional TV and it's brilliant," he said. 

Would he love to make a Marathi film someday? Salman says he does have plans. "I am not getting the right script. But I want to produce a nice Marathi film. Once I get a good story, I will surely go forward with it."
