This picture of Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji is BREAKING the internet!

Rani Mukerji and the Bachchans historically didn't share the best of relationships. While Rani was earlier an integral part of the Bachchan household because of her close relationship with Abhishek Bachchan, which included rumours of the two considering marriage, Jaya Bachchan was allegedly against the union, which led to the two parting ways. Furthermore, Abhishek marrying Aishwarya Rai hit another sore spot with Mukerji given the bitter past between the two actresses. And Mukerji wasn't even invited to the wedding!

Despite all of that, it warms our heart to see that the senior Bachchan and Mukerji don't let it get between their friendship, as they are frequently seen getting along well with each other. And this latest picture of Amitabh and Rani hugging it out on the sets of Rani's upcoming movie gives us all the feels!

Bachchan was shooting for an advertisement with Imtiaz Ali, pictures of which he shared earlier. He talked about it on his blog, where he then said "And while I go through the myriad expression changes I bump into the ‘malkin’ of YRF .. the Rani ..who I meet after ages .. after marriage and child anyway ..".

The text was accompanied by a picture of the two giving each other a big, warm hug on the sets of Rani Mukerji's comeback film Hichki. Bachchan continues to share his admiration of the actress on several occasions. The two were most popularly seen together in 2005's Black, and maybe pictures like these could spark the fire of another reunion? All we can do is hope!
