In the first two days of its run, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has managed to cross the 25 crore mark. After Friday which stayed good at 13.3 crore, Saturday too brought in 13.1 crore and that has resulted in the sum total of 26.4 crore. Now this is pretty much on the same lines as the entire weekend collections of Student of the Year [25.3 crore] and in that aspect, Karan Johar would be happy to have taken a step forward.

In fact My Name Is Khan had collected 31.5 crore over the weekend and those numbers would be surpassed by this afternoon itself. This would make Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as Karan Johar's biggest weekend in the current era (notwithstanding the fact that he has delivered major blockbusters like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the past).

Nonetheless, talking about the current times, rest assured Karan Johar and Fox would be able to look at the collections so far with a sigh of relief as they have managed to battle all the adversities that had come their way en route release. It is now time for them to leverage from the platform made available for them, grow further on Monday, and then stay stable right through the weekdays.

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
