Actor Gwendoline Christie says she loves portraying those parts that often fall in the category of misfits.

The 38-year-old actor, who is popularly known by her on- screen avatar of Brienne of Tarth from "Game Of Thrones", says she had a great time filming the HBO series as she was pining to do something unusual, according to RadioTimes.

"I have always wanted to bring light to characters who often feel like they aren't seen, who don't fit in. And while I've loved every moment of being on 'Game of Thrones', I was desperate to play something different," says Christie.

The actor, who also features on TV mystery drama "Top Of The Lake: China Girl", says playing Miranda Hilmarson's character was equally "interesting" for her.

"It was very interesting for me to inhabit a character in 'Top of the Lake' who isn't very good at anything who is failing at life," she adds.
